We were first asked to advise on access for the architect in April 2017, brought in our preferred scaffold designers, Creator Ltd, for the working drawings, and won the contract in November 2018.
A traditional tube and fitting scaffold, 21m wide at the base, rising to lift 38 and 80m to the top lift, with an internal protection deck and a scaffold inside the lantern. It went up without damage to the façade: no bolt holes, no ties, no windows removed. We used the original putlog holes instead, and reveal ties where we could not.
